new things

There's a new baby in my left arm thrown over my shoulder as I type. She's a month old and my mind is working at 90miles n hour while I think of ALL the things I want to do and achieve over the next few days months years, and that's before the kids come home from school! I can't get over just how difficult it can to try to achieve anything creative day to day as a mother. I thought it'd be easier once I stopped working, but it's not, because somehow there's more laundry to be done, or another room to be sorted...How do we need to change the layout of rooms so often?!
Just came across this link and will try see if I can catch this online somewhere http://www.whodoesshethinksheis.net/ Looks like it covers everything I've been contemplating of late.
Also, thinking of changing the content on my website to include the work I love to do that's for me, and not for commercial reasons. It might encourage me to do more and get a little more feedback. The entire content of the website is way behind, really needs to be updated.
Ok, off to try and sketch this wee baby that has wind, also clear out the years of hoarding that is cluttering up this studio, time for a FRESH start....! :)

I'm nearing completion of a whole new range of more affordable personalised paintings that can be viewed on www.facebook.com/artdob. It's getting exciting to think I'm able to produce quality work that can be finished within about a 24 hour turnaround...Here's hoping the orders will start to come in! Next stop Etsy shop.....;)

I have just opened up this blog after....oh my God, 5 months and read a very sweet supportive comment from an anonymous source. How sweet! I am chuffed! Been ticking over with a few commissions, it's getting hard to get to all of the pressing items these days - life is interrupting all the time....homeworks and dancings and soothers and kitchens cleanings....will post up some new work shortly I'm hoping...

I have a follower - my sister! wehey!
Have the website up and live. I'm so impressed with modern technology - I'm out there in the big bad and delighted with the possibilities...Having now got it all up and live I went into an art supplies shop today and realised that the sizes I uploaded on to the site are a wee bit big. Need to edit. So tried to access the site remotely to manage it...what a BIG learning curve. This takes days and weeks away from actually PAINTING.
How is this interesting to anyone I wonder?
It aint is the answer I'm sure....I think I should let the paintings speak for themselves...have another order, just have to find that vital piece of paper......!

Just at the last stage of getting the website up and running. I could tweak it forever, although I am so pleased with it now. Can't wait to have it up and running so that I can tell all to go google it. It will be interesting to see what comes my way in the line of business. Will have to begin 'marketing' the paintings. Not a clue where to start so any ideas would be most helpful...!
This blog thing is strange - Like writing a diary and leaving it open on the bus for all to see...weird. But I remember when I thought that the whole facebook thing was a little strange and weird too. (That didn't last long). I guess I use the internet more for information and not for communication, so, a whole big learning curve again...yipeee!
Off to work on my daughters painting and see where to go with that....zipedeedoodah.....
